Sleep Out for Mental Illness

NAMI Wood County took members and staff to the Sleep Out for Mental Illness in Columbus on the Statehouse lawn. The event took place on Tuesday, May 10th from 5-9 p.m. Members and guests were enlightened and entertained during the presentation. State Representatives made their way out of the Statehouse to behind the podium in order to show their support for Mental Health services. Music filled the West Lawn as musicians brought forth melodies of hope and recovery. The rally served its purpose. NAMI friends from all over the great state of Ohio gathered to make the necessity of mental health services and funding clear to the General Assembly.
